Michelle's Approach
With compassion, curiosity and deep listening, we will work collaboratively to explore areas of concern within a safe and non-judgmental space that fosters trust, reflection, learning, and growth.
My client-centered approach means that I will meet you exactly where you are at. Holding the view that you are the master of your experiences, my role is to lightly guide and support you in your journey using evidence-based interventions, as your equal.
I aim to infuse each session with humility, hope and humour, creating a solid and productive therapeutic relationship.
The opportunity to help people support their mental wellbeing and live fulfilling and authentic lives is an incredible honour.
I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and am a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Michelle's Approach

What can I expect from Counselling?
You can expect to be listened to by a trusted professional who treats you with respect, kindness and compassion and offers evidence based interventions.
The safety of the therapeutic relationship is the ideal container within which to develop new insights about yourself. These insights can be around recognising patterns that are keeping you stuck, increasing your awareness around thoughts and feelings and exploring what is important to you.
Ultimately, your increased personal awareness and alignment with your values leads to a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Counselling sessions are collaborative and may be short or longer term depending on your unique situation and goals.
